With nine years of experience as a labor lawyer—spanning two years at Baker & McKenzie in Berlin and seven at BASF SE—Stefanie has gained deep insights into the challenges legal professionals face. Her background in law equips her with unique empathy for the pressures of the profession.
Her Legal Journey
Stefanie began her career at Baker & McKenzie, focusing on labor law,. She expanded her perspective through a transformative year in Sydney where she acquired a Master of Labor Law and Relations (M.L.L.R.) at the University of Sydney.. She then joined BASF SE in the headquarters in Ludwigshafen, where she provided expert labor law advice to the upper management and HR Business Partners, negotiated works council agreements, represented BASF SE in labour law disputes before court, gave trainings on labour law and anti-discrimination to executives and advised on labour law in international M&A transactions.
Her Personal Journey
After BASF, Stefanie took a sabbatical for self-development, spending three years at a Buddhist monastery and seminar center. As Director of the Zen Center Regensburg e.V. she deepened her practice of meditation, bodywork, and breathwork.
Stefanie also trained as a hypno-systemic coach with Dr. Gunther Schmidt at the Milton-Erickson Institute and completed the “Systemic-Evolutionary Organizational Development” program at Trigon Academy. Her studies in Zen philosophy and Buddhist psychology have profoundly influenced her approach to personal and organizational development.
